2012 Rootabaga Jazz Festival
A Huge Success

Nikki Malley, the director of the Knox College Rootabaga Jazz Festival, did another fantastic job this year. Along with great local and regional groups that performed on Thursday and Friday nights, the Noah Preminger Group performed Saturday night’s final concert. Preminger is a young and very talented tenor saxophonist from New York. With him were Linda Oh on bass, Frank Kimbrough piano, and Matt Wilson on drums. The Knox Jazz Ensemble warmed up the crowd with some great charts. CHS was honored to be a part of this event. Please visit our samples page for audio from this concert.
